Black/Gray Maple Burl with Rhodium Plating
The pen is handmade from Stabilized Black and Gray Dyed Maple Burl. Hard Maple burls yield a very peculiar and highly figured wood prized for its beauty and rarity. The burl is injected under pressure with black dye and resin to further enhance and stabilize the wood and is then sanded and polished to a glass like finish. The pen hardware is rhodium plated which is a member of the platinum group pf precious metals and is noted for its brilliance, hardness, and beauty.
