The bottle stopper is handmade from Bubinga also known as Kevazingo. The heartwood color ranges from a pinkish red to a darker reddish brown with darker purple or black streaks and is often seen with a variety of figure including pommele, flamed, waterfall, quilted and mottled. Bubinga grows in equatorial Africa. The stopper is chrome plated and has a tapered graduated silicone gasket that provides an air tight and leak resistant seal. The wood has a polyurethane finish to protect it from alcohol.
